Nick Watry - recognized as a premier architect and engineer for the design of parking facilities, receiving numerous design excellence awards from the International Parking Institute. WBC was founded on over 100 years of design experience. During his 45 year professional career, Mr. Watry has been responsible for the design of over 1,000 parking facilities, including projects throughout the Western United States. BUEHLER has provided award winning structural engineering services on over 7,500 projects throughout the United States, with experience ranging from international airports, professional sport complexes, parking structures, education, healthcare, and institutional projects for public and private clients. Since the Fall of 2002, Nick has been on the faculty of the Construction Management Department. He is a professor in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA. Some major teaching assignments are and were: Integrated Project Delivery, (Design / Build), Fundamentals of Construction Management, Large Scale Structures, Post-Tensioned Concrete, and Senior Projects.Throughout Nick’s professional career he has participated passionately in community, professional and educational endeavors. Clients and colleagues have often noted how Nick’s efforts have made a positive contribution to the project, neighborhood and University.
John Harvey - 17 years with the firm, 24 years in the industry, an Associate Principal and Group Manager at Buehler Engineering, Inc., has been the lead designer on notable projects, from performing arts centers to airports. He has performed evaluations, renovations and modernizations on existing buildings, including award-winning renovations for registered historical landmarks. He has also performed structural reviews on projects for the Division of the State Architect. Dedicated to sustainable design principles, he is a LEED Accredited Professional and is a Member of U.S. Green Building Council Northern California Chapter. In addition, he is a member of SEAOC and AISC, served on the 2007 SEAOC Convention Committee, and is currently serving on the SEAOCC Seismology committee.
Ron Migliori - the Executive Vice President at Buehler Engineering, Inc. His outgoing personality combined with his technical expertise enable Ron to focus on business development activities for BUEHLER. He explores opportunities to introduce project delivery methods which streamline the design and construction process. As a member of the Lean Construction Institute, Ron directs BUEHLER's focus on lean construction principles which maximize value and minimize waste in both the design and construction process. Over the past 40 years, he has been the lead designer on many large and diverse projects which span the built environment. He has conducted numerous seismic retrofits and studies for renovation of unreinforced historic structures for both public and private agencies. Ron has also been a guest speaker at UC Davis and CSU Sacramento, and has served on the SEAOCC Seismology Committee. In addition, Ron serves on the Lean Construction Institute NorCal Chapter Board of Advisors, and has been a presenter at the Lean Design Forum and P2SL (Project Production Systems Laboratory).
Bill Rader - 35 years with the firm and in the industry, is a Vice President and Engineering Manager for Buehler Engineering, Inc. In 2001, he opened the Roseville location and continues to manage and oversee production for this branch office. With 31 years of structural design experience, he has been involved in all phases of the design and construction process. He has a broad background and working knowledge of all material types. His project experience includes single and multi-level office buildings, medical facilities, K-12 schools and universities. Bill is also a member of SEAOC and served two years on the SEAOCC exam committee.
